This black tailed minnow pattern came to be after watching a lot of prey fish that feature a black tail. Both fresh and salt water has fish like this. It can be a Brycon family fish in jungle waters for example as well as a Mullet in the salt. Big feeding frenzies around black tailed schools all over.

Tried it in the jungle and it was thrashed! Not to mention that Rooster fish is a big black tail fan, as many other predators out there are.
