The Payara Dragon Fly – Black DRAGON Candy is a highly castable, flashy tube fly featuring our signature Dragon eyes, designed for both jungle rivers and saltwater predators. These eyes give the fly a bold, aggressive look while enhancing hydrodynamics for smooth swimming in strong currents.

A new addition to the catalogue, this Black DRAGON Candy is perfect for mornings, evenings, murky water, or when strikes slow down. Black offers strong contrast and attracts many species, including darker plecos.

The tube design positions the hook further back, improving hook-up ratio, preventing fouling, reducing weight, and extending the fly’s lifespan. Each fly comes with trailer hooks: a sticky 3/0 trailer hook on the rear.

Recommended setup: 10–12 weight rods with 400–500 grain sink tips, ensuring effortless casting and swinging in deep or fast currents. Saltwater species respond just as well as jungle predators.
